Dr. Jahad Alghamdi currently serves as the Executive Director of Benefit and Risk Evaluation at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA). In this capacity, he oversees the scientific assessment of the clinical and non-clinical modules of medicinal products and leads regulatory decisions on clinical trial approvals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alghamdi has made significant contributions to the scientific and regulatory community. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in respected journals and authored a book chapter, reinforcing his reputation as a trusted scientist in pharmaceutical sciences and regulatory policy. In addition, he is an active member of the National Bioethics Committee and serves on several national and international committees and working groups that shape regulatory science and healthcare policy.

Prior to joining SFDA, Dr. Jahad Alghamdi served as the Head of the Saudi Biobank at King Abdullah International Research Center, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and managing a vital national resource for medical research. His leadership in this initiative enabled groundbreaking studies and supported advancements in precision medicine across the Kingdom.
