IBAF 2025 - Riyadh Concludes Successfully

International Biotechnology Achievement Forum 2025

The International Biotechnology Achievement Forum 2025 – Riyadh (IBAF 2025) successfully concluded at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), marking the culmination of the Biotechnology Venture Readiness Program 2025 (BVRP’2025). The Forum gathered government representatives, research and healthcare leaders, distinguished mentors, investors, industry partners, and high-potential biotechnology and health innovation founders from Saudi Arabia and across the world.

This landmark event celebrated the graduation of the first international Saudi-powered and Saudi-supported biotechnology startup cohort, comprising 62 biotechnology and health innovation ventures from 22 countries. The Forum provided a national stage to dignify their achievement, showcase innovation progress, and shape the next phase of Saudi Arabia’s biotechnology ecosystem.

The program featured keynote addresses and leadership sessions introducing Saudi Arabia’s vision for biotechnology and life sciences advancement, national priorities and market opportunities, and lightning talks by leading mentors and lecturers sharing practical insights.

A central highlight of the Forum was the Startup Pitch Session, where 12 top-performing startups were selected by an international committee from the full cohort to pitch live before a high-level judging panel of Saudi and international experts. These pitches demonstrated cutting-edge innovations across therapeutics, diagnostics, medtech, digital health, AI-driven discovery, and green biotechnology.
