Professor Bander Balkhi is a leading expert in Health Economics and Policy and currently serves as a Professor at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University (KSU). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from KSU, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), and a PhD in Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research from MCPHS University in Boston, USA. His research advances value-based healthcare through applied work in efficiency analysis, pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement, real-world evidence, and patient-reported outcomes (PROs). He has led numerous national and international initiatives that directly inform evidence-based healthcare policy and decision-making.

Professor Balkhi advises pharmaceutical companies and emerging biotech ventures on value demonstration, outcome-based pricing, and reimbursement strategies that support sustainable market access. He advises national health institutions on health economics and policy, coordinates the Saudi Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmacy Policy Experts Group (SPEG), and serves on professional society boards, including the ISPOR Saudi Arabia Chapter and the Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Saudi Society (PEOR).

Professor Balkhi also delivers specialized training programs and workshops in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, and policy both locally and internationally, helping develop the next generation of healthcare leaders and decision-makers.
