who can apply to the BVRP
The Biotechnology Venture Readiness Program (BVRP) is open to biotechnology and life sciences startups, academic spinouts, and early-stage ventures developing solutions in the following categories:
Both Saudi and international startups are welcome.
No requirement to have a registered startup company in any residency.
From concept and preclinical development to clinical-stage and early market-ready ventures.
Yes. International startups are encouraged to apply. The program provides structured exposure to Saudi Arabia’s biotechnology and health innovation ecosystem and market-entry pathways.
The program is delivered virtually through live expert sessions, workshops, and mentorship meetings, followed by a graduation and investor forum in Riyadh.
Applications are reviewed by an international committee based on innovation quality, scientific foundation, scalability potential, and relevance to Saudi biotech and health innovation priorities.
Yes. Every applicant will receive a response. Selected high-potential startups may also receive follow-up guidance.
Yes. Post-program support includes guidance on ecosystem integration and establishment pathways in Saudi Arabia.

Selection results will be communicated individually by email and WhatsApp.
Yes. The program culminates in an in-person graduation and investor forum in Riyadh – International Biotechnology Achievement Forum (IBAF), where top-performing startups will be invited to deliver their pitch presentations from the main stage.
